Position Description:

Videotapes and edits program material for university television station and other university departments. Receives specific instructions from a producer. Incumbents in this classification are required to maintain a flexible work schedule in order to accommodate evening and weekend shifts and travel to on-site locations for taping.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • This position is responsible for multimedia production within the Rawls College of Business eLearning Center.

  • This role will be responsible for operating studio equipment and producing video for online courses and digital projects, with an emphasis on animation and motion graphics.

  • This position will work in a team environment and collaborate with faculty and staff.

  • This role will be responsible for managing projects, communications, files, and workflow through the production cycle.

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical proficiency in computer hardware and software associated with graphic design, motion graphics, and video production, including Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects.

  • Experience operating cameras, lenses, lighting, audio equipment associated with a studio.

  • Proven ability to multi-task in an environment with competing priorities.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

  • Exceptional customer/client support and coaching skills.

  • Proven ability to multi-task in an environment with competing priorities.

  • Master's Degree or comparable work-related experience

  • 5-7 years of related professional experience, with 3-5 years experience with graphic design, motion graphics, and digital animation.

  • Experience with advanced design programs, such as Cinema 4D.

  • Managed complex projects, used tools/applications to manage projects such as Teamwork, Slack, Google Docs, Microsoft Outlook, and Cloud computing.

  • Creative design and vision for translating educational programs into video segments and experience with LMS applications such as Blackboard.

  • Experience working in higher education, educational media, or educational video production.
