Position Description Provides project management including adherence to budget, schedule and scope. Plans, schedules or coordinates projects activities to meet deadlines. Monitors project compliance. Coordinates the overall integration of the project. Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities.
Major/Essential Functions Creates an inclusive and thoughtful team environment that inspires creative thinking. Ensures all materials support the vision, mission, and values of the college. Listens to and understands the needs of all faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
Offer leadership in marketing strategies and tactics, while ensuring that we operate on facts not opinion. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement by analyzing data and staying informed on new innovative marketing and communication ideas and trends. Creates an advertising plan, media budget (including negotiating strategically critical buys). Manages processes to track, manage, and ensure quality, including impeccable proofreading, content and design, including reviews and approvals, permissions and approvals, on time, always. Manages the creating, production, approval, and dissemination of all Rawls College marketing and communication materials in cooperation with both the managers of graphic design and public relations.
Works with Senior Director to create an annual communications plan to support marketing plan strategies, establishes specific and measureable goals, and prepares and tracks both timelines and budgets. Manages day-to-day interaction with any freelancers, agencies, or consultants who are working on marketing communication products. Prepares a monthly marketing and communications report that includes progress on benchmarks and establishes measureable goals. Project manages and monitors all campaigns and projects, both internal and external, to ensure uniformity of message, as well as assure that the brand strategy is implemented with integrity. Reviews market segmentation and other appropriate marketing reports to ensure that the media and messaging is segment appropriate.
Ensures all collateral and creative is in synergy with the Rawls College and carrying our messages of vision, mission, and values; that it projects a consistent and high quality message. Ensures that the Rawls College of Business Brand Usage Guides are developed and kept up-to-date and followed within the college under the guidance of the Senior Director. Works with Senior Director to establish budgets and monitor expenses.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus three years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal seven years.
Preferred Qualifications Must be competent in Adobe Suite (In-Design, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Office. Experience with Basecamp is helpful. Familiarity with Texas Tech University systems and services preferred.

Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
