Position Description Performs duties in the areas of warehousing, moving, delivery and general maintenance.
Basic knowledge of operation and safe use of all power and hand tools/equipment common to the construction field including: hammers, saws, pry bars, shovels, drills, jackhammers, etc. Also, power assisted vehicles including: forklifts, bucket trucks and dump trucks.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to deal with customers, shop personnel and other department personnel.
Have valid drivers' license and ability to operate motor vehicles.
Must meet minimum physical fitness requirements.
Must pass pulmonary function test and be certified to wear negative pressure respirator.
Safely performs tasks not requiring specialized skills including: jack hammering and assisting with concrete and masonry work; cleaning windows, breezeways, window wells, roofs, roof drains and removing debris from construction sites.
Assembles and disassembles scaffolding. Cleans up all types of debris from construction sites. Operates power assisted vehicle including: forklifts, bucket trucks and dump trucks.
Supports the Project Team as needed.
Attends scheduled meetings and training as required. Participates in emergency callback rotation as needed.
Occasional Duties Performs related duties as required
Required Qualifications 10th grade education or equivalent plus three years work experience, some of which is at the supervisor level.
Familiar with reading blue prints, drawings, schematics.
Knowledge with electrical and carpentry field.
