Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.
The Coordinator will serve as the face of the Dean's suite at the College of Architecture. This individual will greet and assist visitors according to the policies and procedures of the College of Architecture and foster a positive and warm reception area for the College. He or she will answer questions and address the needs of the faculty, staff, and students by providing excellent customer service and clerical support as needed to the Dean's executive team; along with answering a multi-line phone and provide information or triage calls to the correct person. The coordinator will know the facility, classes, projects, events, and campus thoroughly so as to answer questions and give information to students, faculty, and guests.
He or she will oversee receiving and distributing mail and packages and ensuring that the Dean's Office is stocked with business supplies and makes orders for business supplies when necessary. Additionally. the Coordinator will help coordinate events (set up and break down of food service) for Dean's conference room. May serve as the backup to the Dean's Assistant.
Minimum Hire Rate:
Previous experience as a receptionist.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong customer service skills.
