Major/Essential Functions:

  • Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Under general supervision, performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members.

  • Budgeting for departmental income and expenditures, and reconciling actual expenditures with the budget.

  • Routine internal accounting, manage School of Accounting fund and endowment balances.

  • Scheduling classes and meetings.

  • Communications, both internal and external. The School of Accounting engages in extensive communication efforts with our alumni, including (but not limited to) newsletters, social media, and periodic mailouts.

  • Management of a variety of administrative functions within the School of Accounting.

  • Administrative duties, including supervision over a sizeable contingent of student assistants.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Budgeting, light accounting, ability to work with university reporting systems.

  • Good written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to work well with others.

  • Good organization and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in Excel.

  • Ability to work with web pages (technical staff are readily available for assistance).
