Job Summary:Operate a PBX system console, responding appropriately to all outside/inside telephones calls.Responds promptly to all Codes, activating the Emergency Preparedness procedures.Page necessary information on the public address system. Minimal supervision required.Essential Functions:1.Promptly and accurately answers and transfers all calls to the location specified.2.Operate a computer, giving out patient room information and other necessary information.3.Respond promptly to alarms and initiates Emergency Preparedness Plan procedures.4.Page necessary information using P.A. system.5.Maintain accurate records.6.Communicate with Security using a two-way radio.Minimum Position Qualifications: Training:See necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities above.Preferred Position Qualifications:High school education preferred. Previous PBX experience preferred.
