Position Description Analyzes and coordinates office services such as personnel, budget preparation and control, fiscal affairs, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Process transactions by establisheddeadlines after thorough review andinterpretation of the substance of each transaction.

  • Demonstrate ability to understandaccounting data to ensure compliancewith accounting principles, standards,guidelines and reporting requirements.

  • Produce and maintain complete,well-organized documentation oftransactions, processes, reports, financialresearch and all applicable work papers for assigned functions.

  • Establish effective working relationshipswith departmental personnel for assigned functions.

  • Distribute emails from central email within established timeframe.

  • Effectively communicate withco-workers and appropriate levels of management regarding assigned functions.

  • Reconcile financial activity and resultingbalances to ensure accuracy of HSC accounting records.

  • Liaison between TTUHSC departmentsand credit card merchant; Facilitateestablishment of merchant IDs (MIDs)for credit card terminals andeCommerce/TouchNet per departmentrequest; Assist departments withinquiries regarding credit card transactions.

  • Maintain log of all TTUHSC MIDs,departmental contacts, and related information.

  • Provide assistance with the credit card reconciliation.

Occasional Duties

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in job related field plus one year of related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with bank reconciliations

  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Evaluate, analyze, and prioritize data in various forms and formats

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.) at a proficient level

  • Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.)

  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player

  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills
