Position Description Plans, designs, develops, and produces visual media. Prepares high resolution images for pre-press and web use.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Works with the deans, directors, faculty, staff and Creative Team members to provide visual services as requested. Demonstrates an understanding of the Libraries’ mission, vision, values and its role within the university.

  • Serves as primary visual communications professional for Libraries, utilizing design software to create multi-page publications, brochures, communiqués, signage, exhibits, web page design and other projects as assigned by assistant director and director.

  • Serves as a key member of the Creative Team, offering dynamic and thoughtful suggestions that support the overall communications and marketing plan.

  • Conceptualization and consultation of communication design.

  • Coordinates an assortment of print and electronic design projects effectively and in a timely manner—managing and prioritizing them to utilize office time efficiently.

  • Use of latest version of Adobe Creative Suite and/or other industry standard software programs to produce items for Libraries Communications and Marketing.

  • In-depth knowledge of production processes and proper integration of design/desktop publishing processes to meet production requirements.

  • Assists in the coordination, design and installation of Libraries’ exhibits, ensuring their quality and timely presentation.

  • Provides finished products that exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills and are quality works.

Occasional Duties

  • Performs other duties as assigned which support the Libraries.

Required Qualifications Associates degree plus one year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal three years.

Minimum Hire Rate 13.41

Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
