Position Description Performs professional level analysis and control functions in area of assignment.

Major/Essential Functions

  1. Establish, monitor & maintain cost share funds and budgets, including proactive communication with departments, PIs, and sub awardees (as applicable) as issues develop; re-budget & setup annually (as applicable.)

  2. Serve as backup for grant specialists when needed to process daily accounting functions.

  3. Other duties as assigned, which could include project budget revisions, subrecipient invoice processing, or closeout procedures.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field. Three (3) years related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal seven years.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business-related field. Demonstrated competency in verbal and written communication, time management, accounting or analytical procedures, problem-solving, and decision-making. General knowledge of higher education administration. Ability to learn complex information systems and proficiency in Excel and Word.

Experience in research administration (including Federal regulations and institutional policy), fund accounting, Banner, and/or Cognos.

Business-related degree, CPA or CPA candidate, CRA/CFRA/CPRA or candidate.
