Position Description A job involving an appointment for infrequent temporary work where the employee is called in as needed.
Participates in emergency preparedness drills in department.
Reports data, identifies and reports alterations in patient responses to assist in the identification of problems and formulation of goals/ outcomes and patient-centered plans of care in collaboration with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary health care team.
Implements teaching plans for patients and their families with health learning needs.
Communicates patient data using EMR to support decision-making to improve patient care.
Assists in determining the physical and mental health status, needs, and preferences of culturally, ethnically, and socially diverse patients and their families.
Assists with or performs exams and procedures and documents intervention in EMR.
Maintains referrals and authorizations accordingly to maintain continuity of care for patients.
Attends Nursing staff meetings and helps identify areas of discussion with Nurse Manager and Practice Manager.
Sterilizes and disinfects medical equipment.
Takes and records accurate vital signs and measurements.
Communicates with patients via telephone per clinic protocols in a timely manner to achieve highest patient satisfaction.
Stocks and Inspects inventory of supplies in examination and treatment rooms. Manages supplies to minimize clinic discontinuity and dysfunction. All supply issues to be communicated with Nurse Manager, Practice Manager and Physician leadership in a timely manner.
Assists other clinics within the department as needed.
