Job Summary:

Assist in the structured activities program provided by the Therapeutic Recreation discipline. Position requires direct supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Transfer/transport patients to and from therapy. (50%)

  • Ability to lead small group activities with supervision. (30%)

  • Enter clean/concise documentation into the medical record with co-signature. (20%)

  • Set-up/clean up for therapy sessions. (30%)

  • Maintains appropriate statistics regarding patient participation. (10%)

  • Attend mandatory hospital in-services/continuing education. (5%)

  • Provides input for current program changes and new program development. (10%)

  • Monitors supply inventory. (20%)

Minimum Position Qualifications:

u Education:

High School Education or GED.

u Experience:

No specific experience required.

Preferred Position Qualifications:

Experience working in the Therapeutic Recreation field or similar setting. Hospital/healthcare setting preferred. Continued education at an accredited college/university preferred.
