Job Description

Purchasing Team Purpose Statement

Ensure that accurate Purchase Orders are released to our trade partners and suppliers while verifying that we are using the materials most efficiently. Work closely with the purchasing team to implement new products and option changes. Lastly and most importantly, create and maintain positive relationships with the builders, trade partners and suppliers in all regions.

Purchasing Coordinator Purpose

To assist the Purchasing Manager in all related purchasing tasks. To work closely with the builders and sales teams in regional offices in all matters related to products and suppliers. Basically to represent the purchasing team in the field.

Essential Job Functions

 Work with Construction in regards to take-offs, product issues, any items that might come up in the field. a. One Face-to-face visit each month/each region b. Fill-in/backup other members in the purchasing department

 Assist with finding products a. Negotiate deals b. Evaluate margins c. Find suppliers

 Assist Purchasing Manager a. Creating/maintaining margin spreadsheets b. Setting up vendors c. Research

 Work closely with construction coaches in regards to product performance and usage.

 Be subject to duties changing as the work environment changes

Work Environment

 Time spent half indoor/half outdoor

 Vision for near, mid-range, and far. Hearing for low, medium and high pitch.

 Effective communication skills when dealing with co-workers, trade partners, and home owners

 Must be able to perform all job expectations safely with reasonable accommodations.

 Ability to lift 30-50 pounds


 40-45hrs/week (between 7:30am and 5pm)

 5hrs max. Overtime

 After hours and weekends may be necessary on occasion for trips, or to meet deadlines.
