As the Medical Billing and Coding Instructor, you will interact with students, the Dean, and Program Director. You should possess good interpersonal skills in relating to students, and other faculty members, Career Services and the Enrollment Specialist.

Your time will be spent participating in the following activities:

  • 60% - Student Interaction

  • 20% - AD/Coaching and Training

  • 10% - Administration

  • 10% - Communication


  • Must have one of the following:

  • Diploma/Certificate, Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s

  • Minimum Acceptable Certificates:


  • Must have two years of work experience in the field

  • Must have one year of work experience in the field if holding a Bachelor’s degree or higher WITH the RHIA or RHIT credential


  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects

  • Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things

  • The ability to communicate information and ideas, written and verbal, so others will understand

  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
