Job Site Lubbock, Texas. Summary Responsible for the repair and maintenance of operation facilities and heavy equipment including large construction equipment to ensure maximum mechanical efficiency of all crushing operations, sand and gravel plant, and heavy equipment. Functional Responsibilities Construct/assemble crushing equipment, sand and gravel plants and provide maintenance and repair on all equipment in a timely manner. Perform all maintenance operations (welding, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, and air systems) in accordance with technical specifications and safety regulations. Maintain equipment such as: feed, conveyor, scrubber, shaker and classifying systems. Discharge hoppers, weigh and load carrying, drive, water/air systems, crusher, electrical and hydraulic systems, recycling, structural systems, and other miscellaneous equipment. Periodically inspect equipment in accordance with the company s Prescribed Inspection Schedule and complete equipment inspection and reports. Evaluate workload (with guidance of Operations Manager) and establish priority work schedules. Maintain clean work area and assist in cleaning plant and equipment. Ensure equipment is in safe operating order. Maintain a positive attitude and possess a level of determination to successfully complete tasks, projects and career responsibilities. Take the initiative to start new tasks or projects or operate out of their area of influence. Promote and maintain a clean Work Environment Suggest and implement new ways to make our business better. Such other duties as may be assigned from time to time. Must add value to the company. Physical and Environmental Requirements Candidate must be drug free. Position requires moderately strenuous physical work. Regular walking, standing, climbing, reaching, seizing, holding, grasping, turning, pulling, pushing and lifting activities are required. Must be able to: Exert/push/pull up to 80lbs of force frequently. Lift and carry up to 80lbs from floor level to above head level. Climb in and out of equipment 50+ times a day. Climb up and down ladders as required throughout the day, work outdoors under Panhandle/West Texas/Southeastern NM weather, with varying noise levels. Work on muddy and/or icy surfaces. Experience/Training/Certifications Candidate should have Trade School or Maintenance education Candidate should have 5-10 relevant years of experience.
