Bayer Facility Management Support in Lubbock, Texas

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, as Facility Management Support are:

  • Schedule facility and preventative maintenance checks in coordination with site managers, including emergency maintenance issues;

  • Maintain and track facility and maintenance work orders to manage work priorities, available resources, and issue resolution;

  • Manage preventative maintenance costs for each site as well as identify cost saving opportunities with service providers. Recommend changes to reduce facility management and maintenance costs;

  • Perform periodic facility management and preventative maintenance contractor performance reviews with all site managers;

  • In conjunction with Bayer Corporate Security and site managers, provide facility access control (employee badges and system access configuration);

  • Escort contractors on-site insuring they follow all site safety and security procedures and ensure compliance and adherence to corporate and local policies and standards;

  • Inspects work performed by all vendors to ensure each task is complete, meets the customer’s satisfaction, and all required turn-over documents are received;

  • Build excellent customer relationships with site managers;

  • Develops and maintain file documentation for each supported site. This includes but not limited to equipment calibration, maintenance reports, city or municipal related documents, permits, test results, etc;

  • Assists with company events in terms of facility set-up, projectors, utilities, manpower, and other facility related services and equipment;

  • Responsible for the company pool vehicles as custodian.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in facility engineering and/or maintenance;

  • Strong Background in mechanical and maintenance work and repair required. Demonstrated capability and/or understanding of safety procedures, effective communication, problem solving and cost analysis/budgeting is essential;

  • Excellent customer relations skills;

  • Mechanically inclined and solid technical aptitude;

  • Must possess the ability to quickly adapt to changes in work priorities;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Creates opportunities and overcomes obstacles through own initiatives.
