Position Description Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Major/Essential Functions Direct the process for creating, publishing and editing Sex and Gender Specific Health Learning Modules by organizing, training and monitoring inter-professional content creation teams; coordinate and manage a peer review schedule and keep the team and Executive Director abreast of the production progress and completion of modules; record and produce audio tracks for videos.

Manage the SGSH Slide Library by providing support and oversight for slide set library authors; editing and producing slide sets and uploading to website; organizing peer review and resultant editing of slide sets; maintaining database of progress.

Maintain the SGSH website through collaboration with the website design team. This includes creating and editing website content; establishing timelines and goal dates for specific projects; maintaining and updating the SGSH Communication Page by producing SGSH podcast series, keeping announcements, blog, and podcast content, presentations, publications and award tables current and timely; maintaining and creating the Video Library with sex and gender health information for both consumer and health professionals.

Will be the Institute's SGSH representative for all internal and external participants, instructors, and collaborators by providing program/website information; troubleshooting problems; maintaining open lines of communication, providing updates and new information as appropriate; creating and distributing quarterly newsletters; and coordinating national dissemination efforts for curricular products.

Manage the SGSH budget through processing monthly payroll for contracted personnel; creating a yearly program budget; processing purchasing documentation; and processing/renewing yearly web hosting contract.

Manage general SGSH program support through developing strategic plans and timelines for curriculum product development; assisting with identification of funding opportunities; providing assistance in the development of materials to be used in grant research, writing, and editing; creating memorandums of agreement and other contracts; creating, updating and maintaining agenda/minutes for bimonthly team meetings; hosting bimonthly team meetings; overseeing staff and student intern tasks and activities; scheduling meetings – take and distribute minutes; organizing and scheduling quarterly meetings for SGSH Task Force; and assisting the various TTUHSC schools in their efforts to integrate SGSH curriculum.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Minimum Hire Rate 4413.92

Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
