Position Description Performs the administrative duties of planning, organizing, directing and coordinating special development efforts. Responsibilities may include: cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual, foundation, and corporate support for the TTU/System; adherence to the prospect management system; and plans, coordinates and evaluates development goals. Responsible for fiscal management of development goals. Work is performed under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative. May supervise subordinate employees.
Major/Essential Functions Supports the ServicePlus philosophy of TTUHSC - Exhibits the Service Plus Philosophy in work attitude, actions, appearance, attendance and performance at all times.
Adheres to institutional and departmental safety policies - Shows a thorough knowledge of institutional policies and procedures, and follows accordingly
Follow fundraising goals as set and outlined by the TTU System office. Effective communication skills, listening to prospective donors’ issues and concerns. Meet goal of a minimum of $1 million annually.
Must obtain and meet goal for visits as set by the TTU System office.
Must obtain and meet goal for solicitations as set by the TTU System office.
Manages a minimum number of major gift prospects moving prospects through cultivation cycle (discovery, cultivation, ask and stewardship).
Manages top prospects with strategy designed to achieve results.
Exercise dependability and shows a high level of responsibility toward completing tasks. Must be organized, detailed oriented and be able to complete several tasks within a deadline.
Must have thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures of TTUHSC and work collaboratively with employees in other departments.
Must have strong managerial skills and be able to prioritize tasks and give direction to office personnel to the completion of office projects.
Coordinates effectively with Office of Institutional Advancement - Must work and collaborate with the System office and maintain an open line of communication of all projects and information.
Coordinates effectively with Deans - Must have effective communications skills. Able to communicate donor information and preferences effectively.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus three years development or sales related experience. Additional education may substitute on a year for year basis for experience.

Minimum Hire Rate Salary commensurate with related education, experience and/or skills
