Position Description Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Assist Unit Coordinator and/or supervise all aspects of graduate computer-based and internet-based testing programs; including but not limited to GRE, PRAXIS, TEC, and TOEFL.

  • In accordance with national policies and procedures, administer a diverse range of graduate computer-based and internet-based tests in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere while maintaining test security as first priority.

  • Provide assistance and support in overseeing Graduate Student Assistants, office Student Assistants and Support Staff.

  • Understand and adhere to strict cash control policies.

  • Integrate ever changing information and resources associated with the coordination and services of the different programs.

  • Provide technical support, as needed, in order to maintain equipment and implement services.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with University faculty, staff, students, parents, community, and national testing company.

  • Coordinate the provision of special accommodation testing for the programs administered by the national company, as needed.

  • Provide daily communication to the national company.

Occasional Duties

  • Assist the front office staff with day to day processes.

  • General office work: such as, copies, receipting, cleaning labs, delivering tests and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of computer programs such as Excel and Word to build and update reports on an on-going basis.

Minimum Hire Rate 12.42

Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
