Position Description Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Assist in management of departmental fiscal operations.

  • Human Resources functions of the department.

  • Prepare paperwork for open positions, process reclassifications and salary reviews.

  • Process ePAFs.

  • Assist with screening applicants.

  • Manage non-financial resources -

  • Facilities management

  • Equipment management which includes ordering equipment and assist with annual inventory certification.

  • Materials management - order and maintain sufficient stock of supplies

  • Review and compile reports of departmental expenditures as needed.

  • Assist in departmental budget process.

  • Accurate data entry into Financial System as needed.

Occasional Duties

  • Assist in coordinating special projects for department.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications Ability to manage a variety of activities effectively.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and various web-based administrative and purchasing systems.

Minimum Hire Rate 12.42

Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
