Position Description Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Communicate with Accessibility Specialist, and other eLearning professionals, through email, phone, and face2face conversations

  • Attend various meetings that pertain to the OAL and online accessibility

  • Maintain records of all media requested for captions, PDF conversion, and instructional accessibility testing

  • Assign projects and maintain project schedule, communicating with student assistants as necessary

  • Train student assistants on accessibility standards and procedures

  • Collaborate with eLearning instructional design staff to inform the team of services and work with the team based on faculty needs

  • Provide assistance with trainings that pertain to online accessibility

  • Work with faculty, staff, and course authors to make sure course content is accessible for all learners

  • Oversee captioning processes for online and distance courses offered by the university and K-12 courses provided by TTUISD

Required Qualifications High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, special education, IT, digital communication, or related field
