Position Description Represent Texas Tech University both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, staff, and faculty of colleges and universities to attract quality applicants and achieve enrollment goals.
Coordinate and contribute to the success of various visit schedules for colleges and universities in the assigned area.
Plan assigned recruiting events and programs.
Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the university.
Major/Essential Functions Recruit undergraduate and graduate students to the TCVPA through activities and events both on and off campus, communicating comprehensive knowledge of all degree programs across the College and associated educational and career opportunities for students before and after graduation.
Coordinate recruitment planning and activities with each of the Schools in the TCVPA (Art, Music, Theatre & Dance), including development and implementation of a dynamic and adaptive college-wide strategic enrollment plan.
Manage informative, professional and timely recruitment communications, including email, text messaging, social media, recruitment software services and programs, and the TCVPA websites.
Plan and coordinate recruitment events and other activities involving TCVPA Ambassadors, Admissions Recruiters, other hourly workers and volunteers.
Work with other members of the Manager of Marketing & Engagement's team, including the TCVPA Web Designer & Social Media Manager, to coordinate content and messaging across websites and social media sites.
Conduct freshman/transfer orientation to effectively communicate advising procedures, entry qualifications, and course requirements for specific academic programs.
Assist in preparation and maintenance of student orientation materials, workshops, seminars and graduation ceremonies.
Serve as liaison with the institutional recruitment, admissions and enrollment offices, including Undergraduate Admissions, Enrollment Management, and Graduate School/Graduate Admissions regarding student issues and coding requirements.
Attend monthly professional development meetings and participate in regional and national conferences on recruitment and enrollment in higher education.
Serve as backup advisor for TCVPA as needed, including counseling students regarding school, college and university academic major and minor program requirements and retention policies; advising for TCVPA general studies majors; maintenance of files, degree plans, and progress-toward-degree documents; assisting students with registration, declarations of majors, transfers, grade requirements, course substitutions, and probation and/or suspension; and assisting with course builds and room schedules.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus one year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal five years.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in recruitment or admissions, Public relations experience. Valid driver's license.

Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
