Position Description Performs highly responsible accounting functions according to established procedures, requiring knowledge of complex accounting systems; responsible for assembly and analysis of data; works under general supervision with latitude for technical judgment. May supervise subordinate employees.
Assist with the preparation of the Annual Financial Report and other internal and external financial reports and related audit documentation requests as assigned
Perform edit checks and other periodic monitoring procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, timeliness and conformance to governing regulation and policy of the accounting records
Perform weekly financial aid cash draws
Assist with preparing quarterly fluctuation analysis and related reports
Process accounting transactions and maintain supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and conformance to governing regulation and policy
Contribute to the development of Cognos queries/reports and other automated efforts to further gain efficiencies and increase effectiveness in the financial reporting processes
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a finance field required plus four years experience, preferably in a college or university environment.
Preferred Qualifications Accounting or finance degree, CPA or CPA candidate
