Prosperity Bank is seeking to fill the position of CCU Underwriter III at our Lubbock, Ave Q location. The primary role of the CCU Underwriter III position is to review and underwrite loans. It is preferred that the individual have a working knowledge of Home Equity and Home Improvement loans and also knowledge of consumer loan documentation. This individual's responsibilities will be to identify, analyze, and evaluate loan risks and compensating factors. Also approve, suspend, or deny loan applications, have an efficient ability to define the limits of eligibility and problem solve to provide customers with alternative solutions and ensures that loans are approved within the terms of the Bank s standards and procedures, regulatory underwriting guidelines. Good organizational skills and attentive to detail Able to use PC, various software tools, telephone, copier, 10-key, and other basic business machines. Required Experience Associate degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and work experience. 5 years experience credit underwriting, loan review or related experience. Strong knowledge of credit reports and determination of credit worthiness while maximizing productivity and minimizing credit risk. Properly review 3rd party credit and collateral data. High level of confidentiality required. Prior experience needed in a financial environment.
