Texas Tech University Assistant Professor in Lubbock, Texas
Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.
Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field, be able to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, perform research as evidenced by scholarly publications, and develop grant proposals with the intention of obtaining extramural funding. Services include participating in building communities and program enhancement. Applicants are expected to take part in services to the department, college and university.

Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer-reviewed creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate’s intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activity
Must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field by the time of appointment. Demonstrated potentials of teaching excellence records of peer-reviewed high quality publications and/or innovations contributed to the discipline, to the candidate's intellectual development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional services appropriate to the discipline; potentials of growth in research, teaching, and service activities.
Preference will be given to researchers in Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Systems and Software Engineering and candidates with strong potentials to obtain extramural funding, Exceptional candidates in other research areas will also be considered. Evidence of teaching excellence.
