The Role: Xylem seeks to hire an Applications Engineer to join its Applied Water Systems group in the Lubbock, TX office. The Applications Engineer will be responsible for providing cordial, timely and accurate Pump Industrial product application and quotation assistance to customers and distributors. The Engineer will work with marketing and field sales to understand the needs and desires of the customers and provide them with service levels that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Achieve annual revenue targets.
Achieve annual standard margin targets.
Ensure overall customer satisfaction and retention.
Perform material and design selections for various applications and specifications.
Receive customer purchase orders for quoted projects and prepare technical documents for presentation to order entry group.
Open quotation follow-up and quote status reporting.
Provide selection and quotation training to external customers.
Project pricing and lead time negotiations.
Update and research recommendations for product and system improvements.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Business, or technical required or equivalent and a minimum of one year pump related experience
1+ years’ experience in Pump sales and service
Must have knowledge of pump hydraulics, mechanics and construction, common metallurgical uses.
Strong math and engineering skills required.
Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills are required.

Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to take a leadership role in group meetings and projects.
