Position Description Analyzes and coordinates office services such as personnel, budget preparation and control, fiscal affairs, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Handle and maintain confidential records on all Texas Tech University prospects and applicants.

  • Research issues regarding application documents and problem solve; anticipate next steps and prioritize workload.

  • Answer calls through call center software and provide accurate information to callers regarding TTU processes, policies, and next-steps.

  • Utilize independent judgment and critical thinking to anticipate next steps and prioritize workload.

  • Cross train on all process within Undergraduate Admissions processing.

  • Oversee assigned files as well as a specialization within the unit, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processes.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in job related field plus one year of related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate working knowledge/proficiency in operation of Microsoft Office Suite, ten key and call center software, as well as admissions policies and procedures, enrollment goals, and university facts.

  • Ability to learn and become proficient with customer relationship software and various other software applications is required.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with prospective students, parents, and other constituents.

  • Must be comfortable in busy, open concept room with shifting priorities.

  • Effective interpersonal and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience working in post-secondary environment preferred. Previous customer service experience helpful.
